With the lazy days of summer coming to a close, it’s time to start shopping for new clothes and school supplies! I can’t believe my oldest will be off to second grade in just a few short weeks.
To celebrate the first day of school I created a cute back to school photo prop and a set of printable first day of school signs to go with it. This quick craft will only take about ten minutes to make!

How to Make a Back to School Photo Prop
This is an unbelievably easy project, and versatile too! You can reuse it for last day of school photos, or mount it to the wall to display your kiddo’s artwork during the year.
To make this back to school photo prop, just attach the pencils and talk to the corkboard with hot glue. You could also try crayons, rulers, markers, or even a border of erasers.
Printable First Day of School Signs
Next, you can add a free printable first day of school sign to the photo prop to personalize it for your child! I created this set of printables for the 2017-2018 school year for kids starting preschool all the way through eighth grade!
These printables, along with lots of other printable artwork, stationery, and checklists are available exclusively for subscribers in the No Pressure Life Library!
You can use the signs on their own, or cut them out and stick on your photo prop. Your child can hold the prop, or glue a ribbon to the back to turn it into a door hanging.
I hope you have fun with this little craft!

My Mom used to make us take these back to school photos outside of our classroom. This prop would have been a great addition and it’s so easy to make. Thanks for sharing!!
