These Easter mantel decorating ideas are so quick and simple, you’ll have a pretty fireplace or shelf decorated for spring in twenty minutes or less.

Slowly but surely I’m converting to a more simplified holiday decorating style. My home wasn’t bursting at the rafters with seasonal decorations before, but I thought we needed more stuff to properly celebrate each holiday.
And wrongly believing we need more than we have led to feelings of disappointment and inadequacy.
Who wants to feel like that during otherwise happy occasions? Not this gal.
So this year I’m experimenting with seasonal mantels that vary on a theme, and these Easter mantel decorating ideas follow the same, simple formula as my St. Patrick’s Day and Valentine’s Day mantels.
Sticking with the same inexpensive formula for each season makes decorating my mantel much easier!

Easy Easter Mantel Decorating Ideas: A Simple Formula
Put a Frame On It
Perhaps the fastest way to change your mantel decorations for each holiday is to switch out framed artwork. It’s so cheap and easy to frame free printable art, wrapping paper, or scrapbook paper to create a unique look. I’ve had a book of coordinating pastel scrapbook paper for years, so this Easter “artwork” was free.
Add Texture
From the burlap-wrapped tree to the grassy monogram “K” and the Easter egg floral picks (a random grocery store find), each of the additional decorations adds texture to balance out the frames’ shiny glass.
Garage sales and second-hand shops are a great place to find frames, vases, and candleholders. I found the green bottle vase at our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore for just $1!

Hang a Banner
Why limit garland to Christmastime? This cute burlap bunny banner is from the Target Dollar Spot, but banners are so easy to make. For more banner ideas, check out my felt and fishing line banners for Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day, or the leaf garland and ornament garland made with jute twine.
Easy Easter Mantel Decorations
For those of us still honing our mantel styling skills, sticking to a general formula helps keep decorating simple and stress-free.
To recap, here are the easy Easter mantel decorating ideas that you can tweak for other holidays during the year:
- Simple artwork, such as framed wrapping paper or scrapbook paper
- Elements that add texture and dimension (think burlap, twine, feathers, or greenery)
- A banner draped across the mantel
I hope you enjoyed these tips! Do you stick with a formula for your mantel decor, or do you like to mix it up for each season?
