10 Things to Add to Your Checklist for an Organized Thanksgiving
Feeling overwhelmed at the idea of all your relatives coming over for a giant meal? Here are ten things to add to your printable Thanksgiving checklist that will make the day easier:
- Clean the powder room and set it up so your guests won’t snoop while searching for the t.p.
- Ask guests to contribute something to the meal, such as wine, salad, or an appetizer. Remember, you don’t have to do everything yourself!
- Make sure you have enough clean dishtowels.
- Purchase extra flatware and disposable plates so you’ll have fewer dishes to wash.
- Decide on your Thanksgiving centerpiece and buy the supplies.
- Organize your coat closet and stock it with extra hangers.
- Set out your serving dishes in advance and decide what food you’ll serve in each dish. That way, you’ll know if you need to run out and buy an extra bowl or platter.
- Display your WiFi password to keep your teen relatives happy.
- Clean kitchen counters, and pack away anything you won’t need on Thanksgiving so you’ll have more space to prepare the meal.
- Set the table the night before.
