How to Make a Patriotic Banner from Paper Bags

June 12, 2017 by Laura Kiernan Leave a Comment

It’s week #2 of the Spectacular Summer Blog Hop! Every Monday and Thursday all summer long I’m collaborating with a group of creative bloggers to share summer-inspired recipes, crafts, decor and more! Today’s featured blogger is Victoria from Dazzle While Frazzled. Isn’t that a great name for a blog? I’m always frazzled!

Victoria’s sharing how to make a thrifty and easy patriotic banner.

DIY Patriotic Banner

Meet Victoria!

Victoria is a Canadian mom now living in Arizona, who loves making thrifty and unique crafts. Let’s hear from her:

What’s your favorite flower?

My favorite flowers are Gerbera Daisies. They were the flowers I had in my wedding. On a less sentimental note, I love Hydrangeas as they remind me of the west coast.

Did you love or hate school when you were a kid?

I have never balked at going to school. However, I truly loved school when I got into graduate school. I think I loved the freedom!

DIY Patriotic Banner from Dazzle While Frazzled

I’m always on the hunt for easy and cheap ways to decorate my mantel for each season, so I love Victoria’s tutorial for a DIY patriotic banner! It’s a great way to add some red, white, and blue to your mantel to celebrate Independence day. The main supply for the banner is paper goody bags – so smart! You’ll never guess what the bows are made from. Please head on over to Victoria’s blog to find out!

While you’re there, be sure to check out her genius idea for a vertical planter!
